Final Landscaping facelift

The last, but not least, to finish off our house, is the front fence, side landscaping and just general tidy up and a bit of planting.

Since buying our home we have never liked our front fence and gates.  Its a shame its taken us this long to fix it!!

You see, the pedestrian gate at present is never used, no one knows its actually there as its hidden at the side!! Everyone just walks up the driveway, over the grass to get to the front door!!!

So to improve the pedestrian access and to make it more welcoming we have decided to pull it all out and start again.  This time aligning double access gates to the front door, including a pergola to highlight this access.

I also prefer the fence to be all one level instead of up and down.

I had 100 pickets to paint prior to them being nailed up!!! I devised a great system to get them all done as you can see in the following pics...

Front fence being removed by the WelTec Students...

Down the track we are going to get Fibre installed into the house, but for now the students are sussing out how to incorporate a tunnel for the cabling as they are going to concrete this area.

Pergola being built

Fixing the pickets to the fence line.

Its starting to come together...

I cleaned up all the paving cracks and tidied up the edging of the lawn.

New turf being laid...

Fence and pergola all done, all we need to do now is paint the pergola and get the gates made and installed...

Lawn looking fab...

Pergola all painted... starting to look really great...
