Landscaping : Stage Three

The WelTec guys returned on Monday this week to start the final stages of our back outdoor living area.  Firstly they dug out the grass and levelled the area off.  Unfortunately they couldn't get a digger in as there wasn't enough room at the side of the house, so they had to do it by hand!!  Then they put together the lattice woodwork, getting it all level and secure.

Below the guys have completed the base course, the first coating of wood stain and filled in the edging gaps with cement to stop gravel and dirt getting stuck down there.  I helped them a little today too with the gap filling and wheelbarrowing the base course for them as they were a man down.  I really enjoyed it.  I love working outdoors, and particularly enjoyed helping them create an amazing space for us.

Monday, weather permitting the guys will be pouring the concrete into each section.  It will be a full on day, as all the concrete will be transported in wheelbarrows from the front of the house!  I intend to help them again if I can.
